              Terms and Conditions

L.A Kidz is a club for children aged from 7 to 12 years old. It provides healthy and balanced foods, Monday to Friday term time only.

We aim to provide a safe, happy and stimulating environment for all children to play, learn, and develop freely and have fun.

We aim to encourage confidence, independence and enjoyment, all through the activities and atmosphere in our setting. The activities include; music, sports, arts and craft, board games.

The following terms have been listed in the interest of your child. WE WOULD APPRECIATE YOU READING THEM CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING THE BOOKING FORM AND REGISTRATION FORM.

 

 

 

SAFEGUARDING CHILREN/CHILD PROTECTION

The safety and security of the children in our care, is our paramount concern. L.A Kidz aim is to protect children from neglect, verbal, physical, mental or sexual abuse. If a child in our care goes missing, a thorough but quick search will be undertaken and the police and parents will be informed.

 

BEHAVIOUR

L.A Kidz has a high expectation of acceptable behaviour from the children. We expect the children to carry out all the instructions given by staff, for the good of themselves and others. If a child constantly does not abide by these rules we maybe forced to terminate their place. We reserve the right to terminate the child's place with immediate effect if any issues of safety arise from a child's behaviour.

 

BULLING

L.A Kidz is committed to providing an environment for children and adults to feel safe, welcoming and free from bullying. Bullying in any form is unacceptable.

 

DATA PROTECTION AND CONFIDENTIALITY

L.A Kidz is aware of the importance of keeping accurate records, policies and procedures, to operate safetly and efficiently and in accordance with the law. We are also aware of obligations under the Data Protection Act 1998. L.A Kidz respects confidentiality. We can accommodate any conversation in a private area. All information will be treated in the strictest confidence.

 

PAYMENTS AND BOOKINGS

An admin fee of £10 per family, per term, is required, payable in advance. Please ask for a copy of our current charges. One months fee must be paid before your child attends, to secure his or her place at the club (this is non-refundable). Please note, that the club cannot sustain late payments and that parents will be jeopardizing their child's place. Delay in payments can result in a late charge fee or the cancellation of your child's place, all invoices must be paid by the 20th of each month.

The club's fees are paid by either cash over £50.00, cheques over £30.00 and standing orders.

Booked places for children will be charged for; this is regardless of cancellation for any reason, as a place will have been secured for your child. 4 weeks notice, on either side, must be given to terminate your child's place.

 

SCHOOL CLOSURE AND SCHOOL TRIPS

Fees are not charged if the school is closed, for example, closed for snow. Fees are half price for residential school trips, as this holds your child's place.

 

LOST PROPERTY

Any lost property will be found in Bushey Manor's lost property box. L.A Kids cannot accept responsibility for children's possessions or valuables.

ADMISSIONS, EQUAL OPPITUNITIES, SPECIAL NEEDS AND INCLUSION

 

L.A Kidz welcomes all children regardless of their race, religion, language, family background, gender, disability or learning difficulty and seeks to avoid any forms of discrimination in all our policies. Any discriminatory behaviour or language is NOT acceptable and will ALWAYS be challenged, logged and acted upon accordingly.

 

MEDICATION

Where possible, children should receive their medication at home. If a child has any medicine to be administered during their time at club, the parent/carer must complete and sign a medical consent form, prior to medication being given.

All medication must be handed over to staff in the morning, so staff can hand over to the school office, when someone is available.

 

HEALTH AND SAFETY

The Children's Act 1989 and the health and safety at work act 1974, places a number of legal reasonability on L.A Kidz, we take these very seriously; therefore the club complies with all legislation. Morton Michel provides our play safe insurance. The premises are checked for hazards by a member of L.A Kidz each day before children arrive. The fire extinguishers are regularly maintained and a fire drill is held every term, by the school.

 

ILLNESS AND ACCIDENTS

L.A Kidz is committed to promoting good health in dealing with illness and emergencies that may arise while children are in our care. We always have a first aider on duty and a first aid box on site.Children who are known to be unwell or infectious, should be kept away from club, until it is safe for them to return.

If a child has vomited or has diarrhoea they may not come to club 48 hours after the last case of illness.

All accidents and incidents will be logged for parents to read and sign, we will either call you, send a letter in their bag or inform their teacher, depending on the incident.

 

COMPLAINTS

L.A Kidz aims to provide a high quality service to everyone, but we can accept that sometimes thing may not be regarded as satisfactory. We aim to deal with complaints efficiently to put things right.

 

PARTNERSHIP WITH PARENTS

L.A Kidz recognises parents/carers as the primary carers and educators of their children and we aim to liaise, support and work in partnership with you, to provide high quality, safe and stimulating play opportunities for your child.

 

FOOD AND DRINK

L.A Kidz is committed to provide tasty, nutritious food and drinks for children during our session. It is very important that we are aware of any allergies that children may have to food and drink.

Breakfast includes: cereal, toast, fruit and fruit juices.

Breakfast starts at 8.00am and finishes at 8.15am, food WILL NOT be served before or after this time, but fruit is available.

 

ARRIVAL AT CLUB

When arriving at L.A Kidz, you must liaise with a member of staff and sign in your child/children.

 

CLOSURE OF CLUB AT SHORT NOTICE

L.A Kidz reserve the right to close the club at short notice, in the event of emergencies and or extreme weather conditions, which could endanger the health and safety of staff and children travelling to club or on the premises. If you have any concerns please feel free to call or email us.

 

Please note that at this time L.A Kidz is NOT Ofsted registered.

Children will not be accepted to L.A Kidz until these terms and conditions are agreed.

If you understand and agree to the terms for your child to attend L.A Kidz, please fill in and sign the booking forms and return them to us.
